At Moxie by Sadie B, we believe in the power of authenticity and the strength of individuality. Our journey began back in 2019, when a 10-year-old girl named Sadie stepped onto the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu mat for the first time.
Immediately immersed in the world of Jiu-Jitsu, Sadie soon began participating in competitions at both local and national levels. Her passion for the sport was unrivaled. Yet, there was one element that seemed to be missing – a gi that could fully express her unique personality.
In the vast sea of traditional gis, Sadie yearned for one that would not only fit her physique but also resonate with her vibrant spirit. Despite her best efforts, she was unable to find a gi that truly embodied her persona. This quest ignited a spark in Sadie, leading her to design a gi of her own.
With a neurodiverse background and a diagnosis of dyslexia, Sadie possesses a unique lens through which she views the world. This creative perspective drives her design process, enabling her to visualize and create Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gear that pushes boundaries and breaks away from the ordinary.
Sadie didn't embark on this journey alone. Her Dad, who shares her neurodiverse attributes, was by her side every step of the way. Together with her Mum, they formed a dynamic trio. From design brainstorming to website development and supplier outreach, their combined efforts turned Sadie's dream into a reality. This venture is not only a testament to their shared resilience and innovative mindset, but also a family commitment to support Sadie's future endeavors.
